Dietmar Eberle
Dietmar Eberle leads the internationally acclaimed company – Baumschlager Eberle Architekten, with ten offices around the world in eight countries.
The architecture of Baumschlager Eberle is characterized by sensitivity to the local environments and to people’s needs. Their buildings are sustainable in the broadest sense of the term. Going far beyond energy and environmental issues, Dietmar Eberle’s notion of sustainability encompasses cultural, social and aesthetic values. As he says, they think in centuries, not just in decades.
In his methodology, Dietmar Eberle makes the complex process of designing and constructing the building very transparent and makes the decision-making processes clear to understand for everyone. A ground-breaking example of this approach is 2226 – the Baumschlager Eberle own head office building
in Lustenau. This building has been awarded the Grand Prize in 2016 edition
of Wienerberger Brick Award.
