Wolfram Putz

Wolfram Putz is a founder of the German studio GRAFT, which undoubtedly can be called one of the most intriguing in the world.

The English word “graft" means transplantation, i.e. an organ transplant from one body to another. What is the connection with architecture? Everyday life is shaped by many areas: culture, architecture, literature, film, sport, etc. In their projects, GRAFT finds relations between these areas, which results in mutual transplantation of their components. Thanks to its innovative approach, the German studio has gained international recognition.

Wolfram Putz, who founded GRAFT in 1998 together with two partners, also acted as the curator of the German pavilion during the Venice Bienalle 2018.
